Made a plywood template for checking the bevel angle of the spar caps. Used
various means - hand plane, band saw, belt sander, sanding bar - to make
bevels on the spar caps. This proved to be an aurdious job, prone to errors. I
strongly regretted not having a small disk saw, it is probably a good time to
buy one before I make more spar cap bevels.
Sanded the nose ribs some more to true up the surfaces for attaching the spar.
Trimmed the lower spar cap in the center for installing the control bracket. Installed the plywood reinforcement (CA glue). Drilled the bolt holes.
Mixed epoxy. Installed the control bracket with epoxy. Mixed cotton-cab into the epoxy. Glued the spar to the nose ribs.
